F-ZKAK/V and F-QAK/V fire-resistant sealing cushions (valve)
Multifunctional sealing for cable entry points
to protect against water, smoke and fire
Sealing cushions manufactured with fire-resistant
tape made of foaming expandable graphite.
For sealing cable entry points with or without cable(s), for
use with power cables, telecommunication cables or microducts.
Prevents the passage of water, smoke or fire, or rodent entry.
General information: F-ZKAK/V and F-QAK/V fire-resistant sealing cushions
The functional principle and the technical properties of the fire-resistant sealing can be found in our general product information brochure, PI_17.0_General.
For the F-QAK/V and F-ZKAK/V versions of the sealing element, a fringed fire-resistant tape made of foaming expandable graphite was fitted by the manufacturer.
The sealing elements are intended for a temperature range of -30 °C to +45 °C (+70 °C for a short period).
After the sealing system has been installed and inflated, the fringed strip is positioned evenly round the cables and fixed in position with binding wire.
If the cable configuration is subsequently changed, only the binding wire and (if necessary) the valve extension or the sealing cushion need be temporarily removed.
